What was the task?
The task was to make a production that was 90 seconds longs and to provide pre production, production and post production coursework.
what was the idea ?
In production we were shooting our film called " day in the life of a pleb" Starring William. this film is about a Pleb - a ordinary unique person who has interesting ways of living life..
what was the planning documentation processes did you have to complete and how much input did you have?
To make this film we made a storyboard and a script to help us shoot the movie. We also has a production schedule and and I didn't have that much involvement in making the theory part of the film but i starred throughout the entire and acted throughout the film. We have changed the planning the film due to disruptions throughout the production due to casting issues . So We have changed a couple of our documents to be up too date so there isn't any inaccurate information
what changes did you make to your planning and why
In post production we have had plans changed and actors going and new ones appearing so we have had to adjust that but we have managed to adjust to these new changes and not fall behind. We changed our cast and our production schedule but this didn't make us fall behind that badly because we caught up on time. We also our preproduction work in full detail and evaluated is in the blog called pre production depict. I would also make sure everyone is able to participate throughout the film without any cancellations
What do you think is the most successful part of your film. show 2 screenshots

In this scene we tried to bring out the comedy genre by adding bit of slap stick comedy to the scene . When will does his walking in a weird way it emphasis how weird and unusual he is . we did a close up of his feet to show detail that he is a pleb physically and mentally. we also did a weird walk to show that silent films can be a funny movie . we could of done this scene better by having more time so we could perfect the angles and different zooms and to have made the film more funnier by making Williams posture more stuck in the locker in the next scene![]() |
reading the book in a plebish way |
In this scene we tried to bring out different camera techniques in this scene. we also used a prop in this scene to emphasize his thought process and his actions through out his day to day life. we made William hold his book sideways as that is the most confusing way and insensible way to hold .a book as the book wouldn't be readable. This shows how unusual he is and shows the comedic element and the voice over brings more detail to the scene making it funnier. we could of made the scene better by having the camera more straight and less wonky
What would you do differently if you were to do the project again? screenshot edition
I would do this scene differently because it felt a rushed and more detail could of been put towards it The locker scene i would also do this scene differently in terms of doing the camera angles and updating the story board and would have made the character do something else .
the Book scene
I would of done this scene differently because it felt abit rushed and the clip could of been better with the physical elements e.g. recording the film with more focus to make the film less shaky and less wonky.
what would you do differently if you were to do the project again
If we were to do the project to do the project again we would be more organized when planning the filming and editing schedule and to double confirm where the actor can be in the film and when all 3 of us can film and have better communication when arranging meet ups to film and not falling behind. I would also make sure to have more involvement in the pre production segment to make sure that production runs more smoothly and not having to rush things at last minute.
what did you most enjoy about the project
What was good about the production was we that we could see our strengths throughout the production and what we are good at and that we have developed our skills when using equipment and our editing skills has improved since doing the production. another positive is that we have learnt how to cooperate with disruption and plans changing.
